Getting Started At
Impact Martial Arts
Try A FREE Class Today: Thanks for inquiring about our program. The best way to know what Impact Martial Arts is about, is to set up and try a FREE TRIAL CLASS.
When to Arrive & What to Wear: If possible, try to arrive a few minutes early, so we can show you around and introduce you to the instructors. Wear any type of loose, comfortable work out clothes. If you are going to wear shorts, please make sure they are the long basketball style shorts.
When you arrive, find a seat and one of our staff members will be over to greet you. After the greeting you will be asked to fill out an information sheet and sign a hold-harmless agreement. The information sheet will give us an idea of what you would like to get out of the program. The hold harmless agreement is necessary because we want you to understand Taekwondo is a physical program and is also a contact sport.
What to Expect on Your First Visit to Impact Martial Arts: All of our classes begin with a short warm-up and stretching routine. Following this, we will teach you some of the time honored traditional basic stances, kicks, strikes, blocks, and self-defense moves performed in Taekwondo.
You will find our fun, upbeat instructors very detailed, helpful, and caring in their teaching. They expect and require all students to be respectful and attentive. Taekwondo practitioners should embrace the concept of respect towards others, particularly your Instructor.
Safety is Always Our First Concern: Safety is always at the forefront of our program. In the first four to six months of training you are conditioning and preparing yourself physically as an athlete. There is no contact in this period of your training which allows you time to learn and control your kicks, punches, and strikes. After this period of time all sparring and self-defense classes are closely monitored allowing only light to medium contact.
How to Sign Up & Start Classes: After the class we will spend some time going over the programs we offer at Impact Martial Arts. We want to hear about your interests and goals that you may have. Once we have an idea of where you want to go in your training, we will advise you on the right path and go over the cost of the program and any other expenses you may incur in the future. You will find our prices very reasonable and our family rates quite economical. We have something for all ages, and our class times are very convenient for families.
